ASQG began in July, 1981, when a small group of women began meeting at Nantucket in downtown Chico. In addition to retaining many of those charter members, we have continued to grow by leaps and bounds. There were over 100 members in 1996 and we are up to almost 200 today. With membership this large and talented, all things are possible! Our purpose is to contribute to and encourage the appreciation of quilts and the art of quilt making. Guild membership is open to anyone with those interests at heart. People of all skill levels of quilting are welcome. ASQG is an education and charitable non-profit organization, so we have several activities that focus on providing comfort to those in need through the donation of quilts and other items.
Guild Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at the Chico Masonic Family Center at 1110 W. East Avenue, Chico, CA. Doors open at 6:30pm, meetings start at 7pm. Visitors are always welcome, although we do charge a $5 cover fee if we have a speaker.
Dues are $30 annually. To join our guild, you can print the membership application page by clicking here.
The newsletter is e-mailed to our our members and is now also available for download here (see sidebar link). A print copy is available for a small fee for those without e-mail. For those who wish to advertise in our newsletter, please contact the guild.
