Members and friends, welcome to our website! We are a vibrant, friendly and varied group of almost 200 quilters and quilt artists who have been sharing quilts, talent and camaraderie since 1981. There are monthly meetings, most of them with special speakers, quilt related activities, and show and tell. We have quilt shows every other year, and lots of quilt-ins, challenges, round robins, and community service projects, along with an impressive library for our members - something for everyone! As you navigate this website, you will see some of our work, check out our schedule, and share our accomplishments. If you are interested in quilting, please join us the first Thursday of the month for our Guild Meeting. We love to meet visitors and will make you feel at home!

October meeting: Diane Steele

Our October meeting will be held at 7pm on Thursday, October 4th at the Family Masonic Center.  Doors open at 6:30.  For the first time, there will be an orientation meeting for new guild members beforehand, at 6:00, with guild president Judy Riley and VP Chris Guillick.  These orientations will occur quarterly from now on.

Our featured speaker is Diane Steele.  See what she's like at her website -- I particularly liked the "Charming Silhouettes" patterns, but there's lots of great stuff there!  Diane will be teaching her workshop, "What's in the Box?" on Friday at Honey Run Quilts.  The cost is $35.

The Oroville Piecemakers will be our guests with their opportunity quilt!

Tara Faughnan: Playing With Solids

The September meeting featured Tara Faughnan with a trunk show of her progression as a quilt artist.  She has chosen to mostly focus on solids and showed off some great quilts!

September Meeting: Tara Faughnan

Our September guest will be Tara Faughnan, a quilt designer from Oakland who does very modern work.  I'm looking forward to seeing her unusual work and hearing what she has to say!  Check out her website for a preview.

Tara will also be teaching a class on Friday:, “Color Integration: Playing With Solids.”   It will be at the Honey Run classroom. Cost: $45.

We will also have TWO guest quilt guilds: the Pine Tree Quilters from Grass Valley, and the Pioneer Quilters Guild from Rocklin.

Our meeting will be at 7pm on September 6 at the Family Masonic Center in Chico.  Doors open at 6:30.  See you there!
