Members and friends, welcome to our website! We are a vibrant, friendly and varied group of almost 200 quilters and quilt artists who have been sharing quilts, talent and camaraderie for quite awhile now. We are now entering our 31st year. There are monthly meetings, most of them with special speakers, quilt related activities, show and tell, etc. We have quilt shows every other year, and lots of quilt-ins, challenges, round robins, and community service projects, along with an impressive library for our members - something for everyone! As you navigate this website, you will see some of our work, see our schedule, and share our accomplishments. If you are interested in quilting, please join us the first Thursday of the month for our Guild Meeting. We love to meet visitors and will make you feel at home!

Jennifer Sampou: Inspired Design

Thursday night's meeting featured designer Jennifer Sampou.  She spoke about where she finds inspiration: in travel, in nature, and in other artists' work.  She then showed her quilts and talked about how she developed some of her designs.

It's getting close to the quilt show, and there is lots to be done!  Be sure to sign up for your shift, sell opportunity quilt tickets, and maybe take a couple of posters or a sign to put in your yard.

October Meeting: Jennifer Sampou

Our October guest will be Jennifer Sampou, designer, quilter, traveler and lover of color and pattern and beauty.  The topic will be "Inspired Design."

Jennifer grew up in Massachusetts, the youngest of five in a very artistic family. She studied design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and textiles at the University of Vermont before moving to Wales to design for Laura Ashley. In the 1990s she became the creative director at P&B Textiles in San Francisco until she opened her business, Studio Sampou, in 1996, where she designs for the Robert Kaufman Company.

Jennifer wrote the book In the Nursery, and has recently released a line of patterns for C&T Publishing.

After several years in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, Jennifer has recently moved back to the Bay Area with her family.

The meeting will be on Thursday, October 5th; doors open at 6pm and the meeting will start at 7pm. As always, guests are welcome and we ask a $5 donation at the door.
